Howard Meyers, who has been Of Counsel to Burch & Cracchiolo, P.A. since 1993, is a peer review rated AV® Preeminent attorney who has been recognized by Super Lawyers of the Southwest since 2010 for his work in Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation as well as Arizona’s Finest Lawyers since its recent inception. His principal areas of practice are commercial bankruptcy, corporate reorganization, non-bankruptcy financial and real estate workouts and sophisticated debtor-creditor litigation in state and federal courts and appeals.

Howard represents a large complement of trade and secured creditors and real and personal property lessors in cases under Chapters 7, 11, 12 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code. He has also represented bankruptcy trustees, committees and debtors and debtors-in-possession in successfully concluded Chapter 11 reorganizations.

Howard has a distinguished 34-year career that includes stints as a partner or of counsel with two prominent local law firms. He also practiced as a sole practitioner for 5 years.

Representative Engagements

·         Representation of the purchaser in the single largest acquisition of assets from the Resolution Trust Corporation which included a major master planned community and multiple interests in real estate joint ventures and a substantial pool of secured real estate loans
·         Representation of the secured creditor in the foreclosure of a grocery store chain with seventy (70) operating stores with a credit bid in excess of $144,000,000
·         Representation of the purchaser of twenty chain stores on a going concern basis from a Chapter 11 reorganization estate
·         Restructuring of multiple land development and investment joint ventures by and between developers and institutional investors
·         Representation of the petitioning trade creditors in an involuntary bankruptcy proceeding which stopped diversion of assets, secured appointment of a trustee and effected major creditor recovery
